Please find below our general terms and conditions.
In the following conditions, the "Seller" means Voyage Decoration Limited and the "Buyer" means the person buying the product from the "Seller".
The statutory rights of a buyer are not affected by these conditions.
These conditions shall apply to all contracts unless expressly varied in writing by the Seller. Any items, offered on behalf of the Buyer, shall be assumed to be void unless accepted by the Seller, in writing.
(a) All accounts are due 30 days from invoice date. Extended terms are not available unless agreed in writing in advance with the management of Voyage Decoration Ltd.
(b) A prompt payment discount of 2.5% will only be deductable from invoices paid within 21 days of invoice date. Paid means either receipt of cleared funds, or correctly dated cheque.
(c) The buyer must not engage in the supply of the Sellers products by mail order by any means, nor sell to third parties who are not end users.
(d) All new account applications will be scrutinised to determine whether the applicant's trading entity is in keeping with Voyage's trading policies, especially product promotion, and selling media. Internet trading will only be permitted via pre agreed terms between the seller and the buyer prior to the commencement of new trade. Details will be agreed between both parties in writing.
(e) Defaulted payments on Bookplan Direct Debit scheme will be payable immediately and a £20 charge will be applied. 2 consectuve defaults will result in the full account balance being payable.
(f) The Seller reserves the right to:
(i) Charge interest per month or part thereof on overdue accounts at 5% over the LIBOR base rate.
(ii) Charge for all costs incurred in any Third Party Collections and Legal Proceedings.
(iii) Close existing accounts or refuse to open new accounts without being required to give notice or reasons.
(g) If the buyer should commit any breach of its obligations to the Seller, the Seller reserves the right to:
(i) Suspend or cancel all exisiting orders.
(ii) To withdraw or reduce credit facilities at any time.
(h) The seller reserves the right to withdraw any products from sale, or to change their specification, without prior notice. The seller will not be held liable for any costs incurred by the buyer as a result of such product withdrawal or change.
(i) All orders are accepted subject to approval of credit.
(j) The buyer must not use any images or photography belonging to the seller, nor link any website to the seller's own website without prior consent and the agreement to an annual licencing agreement. Nor pay Search Engines to usurp Voyage website from 1st place.
Voyage Maison Trading
(a) A minimum order value of £500 is required to open a New Account. Cushions must be ordered in multiples of 2 per design.
(a) All prices quoted in the Seller's price lists are subject to VAT, chargeable in accordance with the UK legislation in force at the tax point date.
(b) The Seller reserves the right to vary prices without notice.
(a) Any delivery dates quoted are genuine forecasts but they shall not be legally binding to the Seller.
(b) Time of delivery shall not be the essence of any contract.
(c) The Buyer will take delivery of all products ordered, orally or in writing, as soon as they become available.
(d) In the event of the Seller being unable to supply the goods subsequent to receiving an order from the Buyer, the Seller shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential loss howsoever arising.
(e) Goods will not be sold to the Buyer on a sale or return basis under any circumstance.
(f) It is the Buyer's responsibility, regardless of delivery address, to ensure the goods are as ordered and are of satisfactory quality.
The Buyer must:
(i) Check correct description and quality of goods on delivery note and product labels.
(ii) Check goods physically correspond with the sample from which order was placed i.e. correct colour, design and appearance.
(iii) Ensure that goods are of an acceptable quality.
(iv) Check the quantity of recieved goods is correct.
(v) Ensure correct identification of face and reverse of fabric.
In the event of any discrepancy whatsoever, the Buyer must notify the Seller within 5 days of arrival of consignment and before the goods are processed in any way. Otherwise no responsibility can be accepted for any claims.
(g) Upon acceptance of deliveries the Buyer must sign the Carrier's delivery note. Should examination at the time of delivery not be possible, the delivery note must be signed "unexamined," in order for any subsequent claim to be acceptable for damage in transit. Claims for loss or damage must be made within 5 days of arrival of consignment, informing the Seller and the Carrier of the loss or damage involved. Damaged items and packaging must be retained for inspection. The Seller shall not be held liable, otherwise.
(h) No claims for faulty or damaged goods will be accepted for orders delivered to a third party address, as it is the buyers responsibility to check the delivery upon acceptance.
(i) Non-arrival of goods within 10 days from the date of our invoice must be notified to the Seller. Claims for non-arrival must be made within 5 days of notification to the Seller.
(j) Proof of delivery will be charged at £10 if the parcel has been delivered and signed for before the request was made.
Any Fabric orders less than £900 will be subject to carriage charges based on the following:
Within the United Kingdom :
- Standard service, usual delivery time 2/3 working days : £10.00
- Next day parcel : £17.00
- Diamond next day 10am : £20.00
- UK Highlands : £11.10
- Northern Ireland : £10.50
- All UK Islands : P.O.A
Within EIRE and Europe :
- EIRE : £16.50
- Europe Standard Service (Belgium, Spain, France, Italy) : £16.50
For all shipment requests to third party addresses, please add £10 to all figures quoted above.

The seller has a procedure for dealing with cancellations/alterations which must be adhered to by the Buyer. Should the Seller agree to cancellation or alteration, or a delivery is refused by the Buyer, the Seller reserves the right to charge the greater of:
(i) All costs incurred and loss of profit, AND
(ii) 20% of the goods values, AND
The seller reserves the right to charge for non returnable samples at a commercially appropriate rate. This will include carriage.
Should the Buyer wish to return goods please contact Customer Services. On authorisation, Customer Services will send a Returns Note detailing goods and terms of return with Carriers details. Labels addressed to Voyage Decoration will be provided subject to the following conditions:
(a) The Seller reserves the right of discretion at all times to accept / or refuse the return of any goods supplied.
(bi) Fabric will not to returnable for credit, if:
(i) The fabric has been cut it cannot be returned for credit under any circumstances.
(ii) The piece in question is under 5 metres in length.
(bii) Products will not be returnable for credit if:
(i) The product has been modified in any way.
(ii) Furniture returns will only be accepted after examination by your Area Sales Manager.
(c) A standard handling charge of 25% or a minimum handling charge of £20 will be made for rolls of fabric, or 50% for any cut lengths, subject to a miminum length of 5m, unless otherwise stated by our Customer Services Department.
(d) Pattern books, Hanger Stands and Sampling are NON returnable. They are deemed to be second hand. No claims for returns will be accepted unless the goods are faulty.
(e) Goods will only be accepted back for credit if they are accompanied by our official returns note. Labels will be sent to the Buyer along with an invoice for handling and carriage charges, and the credit will not be processed until the Buyer settles this invoice in full.
(f) It is the Buyer's responsibility to ensure, that all goods returned are properly packed and returned in good condition. Packaging is available on request for returns. Goods damaged in return transit will not be accepted for credit. Goods Must be returned within 28 days from date of complaint, otherwise the return will be cancelled and the invoices (s) will fall due.
(g) If, upon receipt and examination of returned goods, the Seller finds that here is a discrepancy in the stated reason, or quantities by the Buyer for returning the goods, the Seller reserves the right to refuse credit.
(h) A charge of £10 for UK customers, and £20 for Eire customers ( worldwide T.B.A ) will be added to the returns charge to cover carriage and administration costs.
(i) No credit will be raised for any returns that have not been authorised by Voyage in advance.
(i) The risk in the goods shall pass from the seller to the buyer upon delivery of such goods to the buyer. However, notwithstanding delivery and passing of the risk in the goods, title and property in the goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership, shall not pass to the buyer until the seller has received in cash or cleared funds payment in full for all goods delivered to the buyer under this and all other contracts between the seller and the buyer for which payment of the full price of the goods there under has not been paid. Payment of the full price of the goods shall include the amount of any interest or any other sum payable under the terms of this and all other contracts between the seller and the buyer under which the goods were delivered.
(ii) the Buyer shall not sell or part with possession of the goods.
(iii) the Seller may for the purpose or recovery of its goods enter upon any premises they were stored or where they are reasonably thought to be stored and repossess them.
The Seller and the Buyer agree to the application of Scottish law and to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
In all events the limit of liability for any fault or defect in the product shall be to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of all the particular goods, and the Seller shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential loss howsoever arising.
Whilst every effort is made to obtain an exact match to the samples displayed in the pattern books, the Seller cannot guarantee an exact match. Should a close match be required the Buyer must request a stock sample for approval prior to ordering. In the case of repeat orders, the Buyer must provide a cutting of the fabric to be matched, and the Sellers original invoice number, dye batch and piece number. Pattern Repeats are also an approximation, and can vary from roll to roll. This must be taken into consideration by the Buyer when ordering fabric quantity. Pattern Repeats can also vary on Jacquards and Embroidery from batch to batch, and is caused by loom tension. The Seller cannot guarantee consistency. In the case of handmade fabrics, pattern repeats can vary from roll to roll, as all fabric is washed at source prior to delivery, and shrinkage is not consistent. Fabric width will generally be the same for all Jacquard fabrics, however the width of handmade fabrics will vary from the washing process. The widths stated are an approximation and can vary by as much as 10% on the handmade products. No claims, unless the fabric is faulty, will be accepted for pattern repeat or width variances.
Although the Seller may make recommendations on usage, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to ascertain suitability of the goods for any particular purpose. The Buyer must not rely on the Sellers skill or judgement. The Seller will not, in addition, accept any liability arising in respect of any loss or damage or deterioration in condition to any goods sold caused by usage, shrinkage, cleaning processes, atmospheric conditions or assembly, make-up and installation or general application. The Sellers liabilities shall not exceed the value of the goods sold.
(a) The Buyer is warned that after treatments may alter the fabrics in respect of resistance to abrasion; tear strength; breaking strength; seam slippage; colour; light fastness and resistance to rubbing.
(b) The Seller cannot accept responsibility for the performance, durability or finish of fabrics which are given any sort of treatment subsequent to purchase from the Seller.
(c) The entire responsibility is that of the Buyer for ensuring that after such processing the fabric remains a satisfactory quality for its intended purpose.
Our minimum is 1m. We cut to the nearest 50cm.
